For my final project, I decided to take my scroll and
digitally revamp it. I also added several feet which I was unable to put on the
original due to time constraints.
The concept behind this drawing was to show sort of an inner
universe that is my mind which can be considered a sort of escape from reality.
And like the thoughts of any person, the landscape is varied and dynamic.
Although some of the characters seem bright and friendly, there is also a
darker side that lies within all of us. The creatures shown represent many
years of my creative thinking collected together into one continuous thought process.
And although a landscape scene may not seem to be much of an analogy to a
person, I think this work represents my innermost feelings rather well.
